When is Veterans Day celebrated each year? It’s the day when we honor and remember the veteran soldiers. This holiday is also called as the Armistice Day. This is a holiday that celebrates the First World War’s end.

It is also a holiday commemorating that time when Germany agreed to have the Armistice. Many people are interested to know the answer to the question when is Veterans Day celebrated each year.

1.  The first answer to the question when is it celebrated each year is on the eleventh day of November. This is the official Veterans Day set by the United States government but this date can also be altered.

2. The second answer to the question when is it celebrated each year is dependent on when the holiday happens. If November 11 is a Saturday then it will be celebrated on November 10, Friday.

3. The third answer to the question when is it celebrated each year is on the eleventh day of November but if it happens to be a Sunday, it will be celebrated the following day, Monday.

4. The fourth answer to the question when is it celebrated each year is every eleventh day of November; however it should be celebrated on a working day. It cannot be celebrated on a weekend, so the date can actually be moved.

Armistice Day is also known as Veterans Day. Armistice was the agreement between the United States and Germany. They agreed to end the First World War on the eleventh day of November, 1918. In 1926 a resolution was submitted by the American congress.

It stated a request to reconsider the Armistice Day to be changed to November 11. The congress also asked for the holding of an official ceremony on that significant event. In 1938, on the thirteenth day of Mary, November 11 became the official day for Armistice holiday.

On the eighth day of November, 1954 the Armistice holiday was altered to Veterans Day. It was implemented in an act passed in 1971. It was called the Act of Uniform Monday Holiday. People then celebrated day every October’s 4th Monday.

However because of the confusion created by the date, the celebration went back to the eleventh day of November. People in the United States celebrate Veterans Day with long and festive parades. The people honor the bravery of the veteran soldiers.
